Minutes of the 8th General Meeting (AGM)
The meeting reviewed and endorsed the previous Minutes from the 8th General Meeting held on August 8, 2019 in Bali, in conjunction with the 13th Asian Congress of Nutrition (ACN).
SEA-PHN Network 2019 Annual Report
The meeting reviewed the annual report which documented the activities of the Network in the past one year, the key activities concluded and the preview of Year 2020.
Brief Updates on Major Food and Nutrition Activities in SEA Countries by Council Members & Associate Members
All Council members and Associate Members shared a brief update on activities from their respective associations/organisations during the past year.
Publication Review of National Plans of Action for Nutrition (NPANs) in SEA countries in Malaysian Journal of Nutrition
In order for the Network’s monograph on the review of NPAN in SEA Countries to reach out to more stakeholders, the meeting attendees discussed and decided to publish a concise review of the NPANs in Malaysian Journal of Nutrition.
Analysis and Review of RDA/RNIs in 5 SEA Countries (SEA-PHN Network Member Countries)
Meeting attendees discussed the progress of the project on compilation, analysis and review of RDA/RNIs in member countries. The working paper and publication outline of the project were discussed.
1st Southeast Asia Public Health Nutrition Leadership Programme (SEA-PHN LP)
The 1st SEA-PHN LP programme has been postponed to next year (tentatively scheduled for August 2021) due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Implementation of Good Nutrition – Key to Healthy Children (GNKHC) Programme in Member Countries
Meeting attendees shared the implementation of the GNHKC module in respective country and discussed the further uses of the GNKHC modules in more schools, beyond the schools in the Network’s GNKHC programme implemented among the member countries.
Potential Future Activities of SEA-PHN Network
Meeting attendees discussed and proposed ideas for future activities of SEA-PHN Network. The proposal on organising a webinar on School Child Nutrition Promotion in Southeast Asia was proposed and accepted. The draft working paper of the webinar was discussed.
3rd Council of SEA-PHN Network 2020-2023
Meeting attendees discussed and elected Dr Tee and Assoc Prof Dr Nalinee as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Network respectively, for term 2020-2023.
