The 11th General Meeting of SEA-PHN Network was held successfully through Zoom Platform on April 7, 2022. The meeting was attended by Council Members, representatives from Associate Members, and the Network secretariat. The main meeting Agenda and discussions were:
- Updates on Food and Nutrition Activities/Programmes in Southeast Asia Countries by Council and Associate Members
All Council members and Associate Members exchanged experiences and presented major nutrition activities from respective country/organisation for year 2021-2022.
- Update of SEA-PHN Network Monograph Publication on National Plans of Action for Nutrition (NPANs) in Southeast Asian Countries
The meeting discussed and agreed to further update the NPANs monograph published by the Network in 2018 to include useful information from the latest NPAN by member countries.
- Update of Supplement Publication on Food Based Dietary Guidelines (FBDGs) in Southeast Asian Countries
Council members updated on the latest FBDGs status in respective countries. In view of the new dietary guidelines available in several countries, the meeting reached general agreement to update the Network’s FBDGs supplement using the latest FBDGs available.
- Proposed webinars for year 2022
The meeting discussed and proposed two webinars to be conducted in year 2022, several potential topics discussed include:- Use of Social Media in Nutrition & Physical Activity Promotion
- Promotion & Consumers Understanding of FBDGs in SEA Countries
- Plant-based protein
- Proposed 2nd Southeast Asia Public Health Nutrition (SEA-PHN) Conference
The Meeting discussed the potential hosting country for the Conference.
